Astrid and Derrick arrive in Mornings Edge and immediately approached the guardian liaison to join.  They didn’t have the money for the membership fee so Fin told them they must wait for an easy job so they could prove their ability. Then Dirk rushes in saying that Steve was dead and that the item they were after was still on Steve’s corpse because the goblin chased him off.

The couple make their way to site C692, one of the caverns around the base of the radiant Spire. Along the way they attack 3 goblins. Killed them and found a opalescent gem cut in a distinct way. Astrid took it.

They make it to the site to find the entrance overrun with goblins. They only see 3 initially by the entrance. Astrid throws flash power in a juggling ball into the entrance. It blinds the goblins for a turn. They kill 4 goblins and a bugbear. 

The two head down a hall to the north and enter a rotunda with columns encircling the center. In the center is a faint blue glow at the far end they see a door with a pile of clothes on the other side of it.

Derrick approaches the blue light and a ghost appears and speaks a language that he didn’t understand. Astrid pokes through the door with her staff. A field in the door stops the staff. The ghost looks at Astrid and gestures towards the door and his other hand creating an image of the green they found earlier. Astrid hands the green to the ghost and it dissolves as the door shimmers to the floor.

They rummage through Steve’s clothes and trans the disc they need. And Derrick takes Steve’s leather armor. A smile falls to the ground behind Derrick and attacks. As they run for the door the construct has turned on and is crawling towards them. They falter and take damage but they make it out and back to town.
